Advika Choudhury
Hi there, I'm a highschool student studying at Global Indian International School, Dubai.

ABOUT ME
Hi there! I’m Advika Choudhury, a Grade 12 student navigating the exciting yet uncertain path toward my future. While I often question what lies ahead, I stay grounded in the present and embrace opportunities. I consider myself a versatile individual—with interests from innovation to music. I’m currently Head Girl of my school, a role that’s deepened my passion for leadership and community building. Earlier this year, I was accepted into Morgan Stanley’s Women in STEM – Step In, Step Up program, gaining insight into finance and global client needs. As a lead organiser of TEDxGIISDubaiYouth, I help spark powerful conversations among student changemakers. In March, I visited a nonprofit in Jodhpur, combining teaching and leadership while helping women grow their boutique’s social media reach from 100 to 17,000. This taught me perseverance, collaboration, and the value of meaningful impact. I’ve participated in multiple MUNs and currently serve as Secretary-General for an upcoming conference. Over the past five years, I’ve held several student council roles—from Innovation Neoteric to Ambassador—shaping me into someone curious, committed, and eager to drive change.

An Overview of the Skills That Define My Work and Passions
Leadership
I’ve been in leadership positions since the third grade, making it an integral part of who I am. From class representative to Head Girl, each role has strengthened my ability to guide, inspire, and create impact. Leadership for me isn’t just about responsibility — it’s about building trust, motivating others, and turning collective ideas into action.
Teamwork
I thrive in collaborative environments, bringing people together to achieve common goals. Whether in group projects, student council, or performances, I value communication, adaptability, and mutual support.
Dance
I have been training in Odissi professionally for 10 years, performing on stage and honing discipline, expression, and grace. Alongside this, I explore hip-hop as a leisure pursuit, which allows me to experiment with creativity and versatility. Dance, in both forms, has been my way of storytelling and self-expression.
Music
Playing four instruments has taught me discipline, creativity, and patience. It has strengthened my focus, improved my memory, and enhanced my ability to multitask. Music allows me to express emotions and ideas in ways words cannot, and performing—both solo and in ensembles—has developed my confidence, stage presence, and collaboration skills. Through music, I’ve learned the importance of practice, perseverance, and continuous learning.
Researcher
As a researcher at the Dubai Science Fair, I explored Dubai’s economic evolution (1950s–2025), analyzing diversification, sectoral growth, FDI trends, and comparisons with Qatar. This project honed my research and analytical skills while deepening my understanding of the strategies behind the city’s rapid economic development and transformative growth.
Public Speaking
From TEDx talks to MUNs and event hosting, I’ve learned the art of communicating with clarity and confidence. Public speaking allows me to inspire, persuade, and share stories that matter.

About the Initiative
चलो, कुछ सीखें! (Come, let’s learn!) is built on the belief that passion finds true meaning when shared. Partnering with Sambhali Trust, I created a two-phase program for women and girls in Jodhpur. From amplifying artisans’ stories through social media to teaching young girls economics, math, and dance, the initiative focuses on empowerment through knowledge, creativity, and confidence—proving that even small actions can spark meaningful change.
Phase One: Empowering Women
At the Jodhpur Artisans Boutique, I worked closely with local women artisans to amplify their voices and expand their reach. By revamping their social media presence, I helped grow their account from 100 to 17,000 views. I also designed unique story tags for each handicraft, ensuring every item carried the artisan’s journey with it—connecting their craft to the world.
Phase Two: Inspiring the Girls
This phase is closest to my heart. I spent time with young girls, teaching them economics, math, and dance—showing how learning can be both fun and life-changing. Beyond lessons, it was about sparking joy, confidence, and curiosity. It made me realize that you don’t need to change the whole world to make an impact—sometimes, changing someone’s day can change their world.
